1 cup (roughly) chopped dates
3/4 cup boiling water
2 lemon ginger tea bags
½ chopped walnuts
50 gr melted butter
¼ teas SweetLeaf Stevia Extract
1 ¼ Self Raising Flour
1 teas Bi-carbonate soda
Preheat oven to moderate grease a 10x20 cm loaf tin.
Add tea bags to boiling water allow to sit for a few minutes remove tea bags and reheat to boiling. Place dates, bi-carbonate soda and butter in a mixing bowl. Pour over the boiling tea and allow to cool, Add walnuts. Add flour. Mix well place in greased loaf tin and bake for about 40 minutes. Baking time will vary between ovens.
Serve cold, sliced and buttered.
